Itinerary

October 9, Thursday  —  Depart from JFK New York on Delta Airlines Flight #96 at 9:10 p.m. for our flight to Israel.

October 10, Friday — Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv at 1:55 p.m. We will be met by our representative, and transfer to the Metropolitan Hotel in Tel Aviv. After a delicious buffet dinner and short orientation, enjoy the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

October 11, Saturday — We begin our day at Caesarea Maritima. Among the magnificent array of archaeological finds you will see well­ preserved aqueducts and a  Roman theater. We will visit Mt. Carmel, where Elijah held the triumphal contest with 450 prophets of Baal. We continue to Megiddo and see the remains from Solomon's days and view where the final Armageddon will be fought. We will visit Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus.  We walk through a replica village built ancient  remains from 2,000 years ago and  travel back in time to visit homes and see carpentry and yarn weaving, an olive press and Synagogue. We then drive to the lower Galilee and arrive at Kibbutz Lavi where we will stay while in Tiberias, enjoy a short presentation on Kibbutz life, dinner and overnight.

October 12, Sunday — Our first stop today is the Mt. of Beatitudes where we will enjoy a time of devotions where Jesus spoke to the multitudes. We then drive to the northern part of Israel. We will visit Banias Springs, the site of Caesarea Philippi, and drive on the Golan Heights where we will look out into Syria. If time permits we visit the Dan Nature Reserve and visit Chorizin. We return to the Sea of Galilee to visit the ancient "Jesus" boat, and end our day with the opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River.

October 13, Monday — The day begins by sailing across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum where we will see the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught, the Apostle Peter's home and explore archeological gardens. We then travel south to explore the latest excavations at Beth Shean, the remains of the Decapolis Capital, the country's largest ruins of a Roman city. We then come to lowest spot on earth, the Dead Sea, and stop for a late lunch at Qumran, the site of the Dead Sea Scrolls discovery. We arrive at the Novotel and prepare for the Opening Ceremony at Ein Gedi, to enjoy dinner and an evening of fellowship with Christians from around the world.

October 14, Tuesday — Today we will visit Massada. Here we ascend by cable car and tour the archaeological site, an ancient fortress, where Jewish Zealots made their last stand against Rome in AD73. We continue to Ein Gedi to view the waterfalls and stop at the Ahava Factory. We return to our hotel at the Dead Sea for an afternoon of leisure, relaxation or to take advantage of the spa facilities.

October 15, Wednesday —The best is yet to come as we ascend to the City of the Kings: Jerusalem. Upon entering the city we stop on Mt. Scopus for a breathtaking, view of the Old City of Jerusalem. From the Mount of Olives we will walk down the Palm Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane. We then enjoy a time of praise in the Upper Room. We arrive at our hotel, The Olive Tree, where we will stay while in Jerusalem. This evening we attend the Feast of Tabernacles Celebration.

Octber 16, Thursday — Beginning our day in the Old City at the Western Wall, you will have a time of reflection and prayer.  We then walk through the Western Wall Tunnel to see remarkable underground excavation of ancient Jerusalem and exit onto the Dolorosa, the street where Jesus bore the cross to Calvary. We will visit Antonia's Fortress and see what is believed to be the original pavement where Christ stood before Pilate and the markings of a cruel game used by the Roman soldiers. We will walk through the Old Arab Markets and Jewish Quarters and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Today we will participate with thousands of Israeli’s in the Jerusalem March through the heart of the City. This evening at the Evening Celebration we partake of communion with our fellow believers.

October 17, Friday — We visit the  new excavations of the City of David. Just outside the Old City lies the original Jerusalem.  Returning to  the Old City, enjoy free time to shop in Jewish Quarters.  Next we visit Bridges for Peace food distribution center and the Bridges for Peace Headquarters.

October 18, Saturday — Experience modern Israel today as we tour the New City of Jerusalem. We visit the Israel Museum and see the Holy Land Model, a miniature replica of Jerusalem during the time of Christ as well as the Dead Sea Scrolls. A highlight will be our visit to  the Garden Tomb with worship and communion. We attend the Evening Celebration with Israeli guest.

October 19, Sunday — Our final day in Israel takes us to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum. Return to the hotel to prepare for the flight home and say goodbye to Israel at Yad Hashmona Biblical Gardens to gain a glimpse of life during Biblical times, and enjoy a wonderful farewell dinner.  We continue to the airport for our late night departure.

October 20, Monday — We depart on Delta Flight #87 at 12:40 a.m. and arrive at JFK New York at 7:05 a.m. blessed and inspired, with a lifetime memories of the Holy Land.
