Shama Resource Center is a place of study and education that desires to cultivate, foster, and promote a better understanding between the Christian and Jewish communities along with supporting the people and the Land of Israel.

Shama Resource Center invites you to join this educational and spiritual journey to the Land of the Bible. We will study Biblical events “on location,” retrace the footsteps of Jesus and gain new understanding of His ministry, see modern Israel and observe how the God of Abraham continues to work His covenant to Israel in our day.

Our journey to Israel will connect us with the Jewish people and believers in the Land. You will be inspired as speakers come to share their insight. Worship with Daniel Carmel and be blessed by his amazing testimony and ministry in song. Have dinner in the home of a Messianic Couple as they share first hand what God is doing among the Jewish people and enjoy an evening of Worship and Davidic Dance.

Itinerary

Nov. 11, Tues — Depart from Los Angeles on El Al flight #6 at 1:45 p.m. for our non-stop flight to Tel Aviv, Israel.

Nov. 12, Wed — Arriving at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, we will be met by our representative and directed to our bus for our drive to Jerusalem. We will drive to Mt. Scopus where we will have a beautiful view and introduction of the City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. We will then transfer to the Shalom hotel, for dinner and overnight.

Nov. 13, Thurs — We will begin our day in the Old City of Jerusalem visiting the Davidson Center and enjoy a virtual tour and explore the southern steps of the Temple during the time of Christ. We will then visit the Western Wall for a time of reflection and prayer and walk through the Western Wall Tunnel to see underground excavations of ancient Jerusalem. We walk the Old Arab markets, Jewish Quarters, see the ancient Roman Cardo, visit the remains of Nehemiah's Wall and the pools of Bethesda. We will visit to the Church of the Sepulchre and then visit the Temple Institute to see tools being made for the future Temple. Then return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Nov. 14, Fri — Our first stop today is Ben Yehuda Street, then to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum. We drive to Mt. Zion and visit Caiaphas' house where Jesus was believed to be held before His trial, the Upper Room and King David's Tomb. We will visit the ancient City of David, just outside the Old City Walls. We will then visit one of the sites believed to be the burial site of Jesus, the Garden Tomb. Here we will take time to be refreshed with worship and have communion. We will return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Nov. 15, Sat — Seeing the sites of New Jerusalem is on our schedule today. We will visit the Israel Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Holy Land Model, a miniature replica of Jerusalem during the time of Christ. Then we travel to the biblical gardens at Yad Hashmona, Messianic Kibbutz, to see replicas of tools, a threshing floor, wine press and meeting places of ancient Israel and for an optional lunch. Time permitting, we will drive to Elah Valley the place where David fought against Goliath. Return to our hotel in Jerusalem.

Nov. 16, Sun — Leaving Jerusalem, we travel to lowest spot on earth, the Dead Sea. We visit Qumran, the ancient city of the Essenes and site of the Dead Sea Scrolls discovery. Next we visit Massada where we will tour the famous archaeological site, an ancient fortress, where Jewish Zealots made their last stand against Rome in AD73. Continue to the Hod Hotel on the shores of the Dead Sea where you will have free time in the afternoon with options to "float" in the Dead Sea, relax, enjoy the mineral pools and spa facilities.

Nov. 17, Mon — As we leave the Dead Sea, we will hike up to the water falls at Ein Gedi where David hid from King Saul. We then drive to Northern Israel today along the Jordan Valley. At Beit Shean we will explore the latest excavations, remains of a Decapolis Capital, the largest archeological excavations in the land. Continuing to Galilee, time permitting, we stop at Yardenit for an opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River before arriving at Kibbutz Ein Gev Hotel, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.

Nov. 18, Tue — Today we see the sites around the Sea of Galilee, and weather permitting, a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. We visit the ancient "Jesus" boat and then travel to Capernaum where we see the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught, the Apostle Peter's home, and explore the archeological gardens. Next visit the cities of ancient Korazin, and Beit Saida, birth place of three of the disciples. We will drive up to the Golan Heights, a major scene of the Six-Day War, to view the area from Mt Bental and see a military out-post from the Yom Kippur War. Before returning to our hotel, we drive to Banias Spring, the site of Caesarea-Philippi, where Peter confessed Christ's Divinity.

Nov. 19, Wed — We leave the Galilee area and stop in Nazareth to visit a replica village from the time of Christ. We will visit Mt. Carmel, where Elijah held the triumphal contest with 450 prophets of Baal and view the Plains of Jerzeel where the final Armageddon battle will be fought. We travel through the Sharon Plain to Caesarea Maritima. Among the magnificent array of archeological finds you will see wellpreserved aqueducts and a beautiful example of Roman Amphitheater. We will stop at Jaffa, one of the oldest cities in the world and the port where the prophet Jonah set sail for Tar Shish. As we say good-bye to Israel, we will enjoy a lovely farewell dinner before transferring to the airport for our late night departure.

Nov. 20, Thurs — We depart on El Al flight #5 just after midnight and arrive at Los Angeles at 6:30 a.m. with a lifetime of memories of your journey to the Land of the Bible.
