Airline taxes are not included in the tour price. The current airline taxes are $360 and will be shown on invoice after registration. The airline will not guarantee tax or fuel surcharge. Should the airline impose an increase, the difference will be collected before departure.

Itinerary

Mar 23, Monday  - Depart Kansas City on Delta Airline Flight #1797 at 3:25 pm, change planes in Atlanta for our flight to Tel Aviv.

Mar 24, Tuesday - Arrive in Tel Aviv at 4:20 pm. Where you will be met by our representative and transfer to the Grand Beach hotel. Enjoy a walk along the Mediterranean Coast and dinner before settling in for a good night’s rest.

Mar 25, Wednesday- Today we begin at Jaffa, here the prophet Jonah set sail for Tarshish. Driving through the Sharon Plain we come to Caesarea Maritima. Among the magnificent array of archaeological finds you will see well-preserved aqueducts and a beautiful example of the Roman Amphitheater.  We will visit Mt. Carmel, where Elijah held the triumphal contest with 450 prophets of Baal. At  Megiddo, see the site of 26 superimposed cities, the remains from Solomon’s days, and view the Plains of Jezreel where the final   Armageddon will be fought. We visit Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus and see a replica village built on remains from 2,000. We     continue to Tiberias, and ascend to Mt. Arbel for a magnificent panoramic view of the Galilee. We continue to the shores of the Sea of Galilee, for dinner and overnight at Magaan Holiday Village, where we will stay while in Tiberias.

Mar 26, Thursday - We start today sailing across the Sea of Galilee. We then visit the ancient “Jesus”  boat.   Next  we  travel  to Capernaum where we see the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught and  the  Apostle Peter’s home. We will walk on  the Mount of Beatitudes and then visit Tabgah where Jesus fed 5,000. Next, tour Beit Saida, birthplace of three disciples and where Jesus performed many miracles. We end the day at Yardenit baptismal site where you will have the opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River.

Mar 27, Friday - Explore the northern part of Israel today. We drive to Banias, site of ancient Caesarea Philippi and then visit Tel Dan to walk through the beautiful nature reserve. We drive on the Golan Heights to Mt. Bental to see military outpost from Yom Kippur War.

Mar 28, Saturday - We leave the Galilee area and drive down the Jordan Valley to explore the incredible excavations at Beit Shean, the largest excavations in Israel.   We will drive by Mt. Gilboa, site of Saul’s death, and visit the natural springs where Gideon brought ten thousand to be tested. We continue down the Jordan Valley and drive by Jericho and the Mount of Temptation before entering the Golden City:  Jerusalem. Stop at Mt. Scopus for a breathtaking view of Jerusalem then arrive at the Grand Court, where we will stay in Jerusalem.

Mar 29, Sunday - Our first stop today is on the Mt. of Olives, then walk  down  the  Palm  Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane. Drive to Mt. Zion and visit Caiaphas’ House, where Jesus was held before trial. This afternoon we tour the new excavations of the ancient City of David, the original Jerusalem just outside the Old City Walls. We end the day at the  Pools of Bethesda .

Mar 30, Monday - This morning we enter the Old City of Jerusalem and visit the Western Wall before we walk through the  Western Wall Tunnel to see remarkable underground excavation of ancient Jerusalem. Circumstances permitting, we will visit the Temple Mount. We will walk through the Old City following the Via Dolorosa, walk through the Old  Arab  markets, Jewish Quarters, see the ancient   Roman Cardo, and visit the remains from   Nehemiah’s Wall.  We then visit the Burnt House, a time capsule of Second Temple    period  and see homes that were destroyed in fires in AD70.  We end the day at Antonia’s Fortress to see the original paving believed to be where Christ stood before Pilate.

Mar 31, Tuesday - Leaving Jerusalem  we travel to the lowest spot on earth, The Dead Sea. We will visit Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scrolls discovery. Then stop at Ein Gedi and hike to the waterfalls where David cut off Saul’s skirt. Next we tour the famous archaeological site, Massada where Jewish Zealots made their last stand against Rome in AD73.  Before returning to Jerusalem, visit the Elah Valley, site of David and Goliath.

Apr 1, Wednesday - Again entering the Old City we visit the Davidson Center, to explore the southern steps and see a virtual tour of the Second Temple. We visit the Israeli Museum, to see the Dead Sea Scrolls and see the Holy Land Model, a miniature replica of Jerusalem during the time of Christ. We end this amazing journey at one of the sites believed to be the burial site of Jesus, the Garden Tomb. Here we enjoy a time of  worship and communion.  Enjoy a sumptuous farewell dinner and lovely biblical garden tour at Yad Hashomona in the Judean Hills.  Transfer to the airport for departure on Delta Airlines #153 at 10:25 p.m.

Apr 2, Thursday - Change planes in Atlanta and arrive home on Delta #1629 at 10:00 a.m. with a lifetime of memories on our Journey  to the Land of the Bible.
