Airline taxes are not included in the tour price. The current airline taxes are $460 and will be shown on invoice after registration. The airline will not guarantee tax or fuel surcharge. Should the airline impose an increase, the difference will be collected before departure.

Itinerary

Apr 15, Wed – Depart from Portland on Lufthansa Airlines Flight #269, change of planes in Frankfurt for flight to Tel Aviv.

Apr 16, Thur – We arrive at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv around 3:00 p.m. where we will be met by our representative and transfer to th e Dan Caesarea Hotel. After a delicious buffet dinner you can enjoy a walk along the Mediterranean Sea.

Apr 17, Fri – Today we begin in Caesarea Maritima to see a magnificent array of archaeological finds, well-preserved aqueducts and a beautiful example of the Roman Amphitheater. We will visit Mt. Carmel, where Elijah held the triumphal contest with 450 prophets of Baal. Continue to Megiddo to see the site of 26 superimposed cities, the remains from Solomon’s days, and view the Plains of Jezreel where the final Armageddon will be fought. We will drive to Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus to visit Nazareth Village, a replica village built on remains from 2,000 years ago. Walk back in time and visit homes where you see ancient crafts such as carpentry and yarn weaving, and a Synagogue built to the scale of the ancient Synagogue of Nazareth. We continue to the shores of the Sea of Galilee, for dinner and overnight at Gai Beach Hotel where we will stay while in Tiberias.

Apr 18, Sat – We begin our day sailing across the Sea of Galilee in a replica boat of 2,000 years. Enjoy praise and worship on the Galilee with Captain Danny, a Messianic Believer. Next, travel to Capernaum and see the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught and the Apostle Peter’s home. Walk on the Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount, and then visit Tabgah where Jesus fed 5,000. We end the day at Yardenit where you will have the opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River.

Apr 19, Sun – Our first stop today is the new Bridges for Peace Center in Karmiel. We then journey to the northern part of Israel where we visit Banias, the site of Caesarea Phillipi, and the Golan Heights where we see remains from the Yom Kippur War. Before returning to our hotel, we visit the ancient “Jesus” boat discovered in 1986, the boat is consistent with those built from 100 BC to 200 AD.
 
Apr 20, Mon – Leaving the Galilee area we drive down the Jordan Valley to explore the latest excavations at Beit Shean, revealing the remains of a Decapolis Capital. We will drive by Mt. Gilboa, site of Saul’s death, and visit the natural springs where Gideon brought ten thousand to be tested. We continue down the Jordan Valley, driving by Jericho and the Mount of Temptations, to the lowest spot on earth, the Dead Sea. We will visit Qumran the site of the Dead Sea Scrolls discovery before arriving at the Le Meridian Hotel on the shores of the Dead Sea for an evening of relaxation and to take advantage of the Spa facilities and to “float” in the therapeutic Dead Sea water.

Apr 21, Tue – Enjoy a morning of leisure before a visit to Massada to tour the famous archaeological site, an ancient fortress, where Jewish Zealots made their last stand against Rome in AD73. We drive to Jerusalem and enter the City of the Kings. We stop at the Mt. of Olives where we will hear an explanation of the city and walk down the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane. We arrive at our hotel, the Crown Plaza, where we will stay for the remainder of our tour.

Apr 22, Wed – Beginning today at Mt. Zion, we visit the Upper Room and Caiaphas House where Jesus was held before trial. We will visit the new excavations of the City of David. Just outside the Old City Walls, lies the original Jerusalem. Recent excavations on this site have revealed where ancient Jerusalem unfolded. See the Pools of Bethesda and enjoy a time of singing at the Church of St. Anne’s. We see the Shepherds Fields where the birth of Jesus was announced before returning to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Apr 23, Thur – This morning we enter the Old City and visit the Western Wall and walk through the Western Wall Tunnel to see remarkable underground excavation of ancient Jerusalem. Continue through the Old City following the Via Dolorosa, Old Arab markets and Jewish Quarters. See the ancient Roman Cardo and the remains from Nehemiah’s Wall. At Antonia’s Fortress, see the original paving believed to be where Christ stood before Pilate. We will visit the Temple Institute, an organization creating tools and vessels for the future Temple. End the day with worship and communion at one of the sites believed to be the burial site of Jesus, the Garden Tomb.

Apr 24, Fri – Again entering the Old City to visit the Davidson Center for a virtual tour and explore the southern steps of the Temple during the time of Christ. We leave the Old City and visit areas of New Jerusalem. First we drive by the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, and walk through Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum. We then visit the Israel Museum and see the Holy Land Model, a miniature replica of Jerusalem during the time of Christ, and the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Shrine of the Book. Enjoy a lovely farewell dinner and biblical garden tour at Yad Hashmona, a Messianic Kibbutz, nestled in the Judean Hills. We return to our hotel to prepare for our early departure.

Apr 25, Sat – We depart Israel at 5:30 a.m. on Lufthansa Flight #692 and change planes in Frankfurt to Flight #469 and arrive in Portland at 12:40 p.m. with a lifetime of memories.
